For The Good of Those Who Love God

"We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose." - Romans 8:28

As we start out the new year, I think it's important to remember that there will be amazing moments, but there will also be hardships. There will be trials. There will be tears and suffering. I really don't mean to get anyone down with this, but what I do want is for this to increase our hope in God's goodness and faithfulness. Jesus' life was not charmed, but there was great glory in His suffering.

Whatever you are facing now or will face sometime this year, remember that if you set your heart on God and following Him, all of the bad that gets thrown at you, He will use to bless you. Even mistakes you've made, as bad as they are, when you have your heart set on honoring The Lord, He will bring a tremendous blessing out of them. So, never lose hope. Never lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how distant it may seem. God has a purpose for you and your life and it is good.

Today's Prayer:
Father in Heaven, I give You thanks for my sufferings because I know they bring me closer to You. I know You will use all of this to strengthen me and bring blessings to my life because I have always looked for You and tried my best to honor You. Keep me faithful. In Jesus' Name we pray, amen.
