Life In Its Fullness

I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. - John 10:10

Imagine your life if you had no worries… you know you and your loved ones are taken care of, and also know it will always be like that. Imagine if your heart went out to everyone,… you love regardless of what they've ever done to you. Your heart holds no anger or hurt. Imagine if all of your mistakes were forgiven and you no longer carry any guilt, shame, or regret. Imagine if you no longer feared anything or anyone, not even suffering or pain you've carried around for years. You'd be free.

This is the life Jesus wants to give us,… the life He can give us when we surrender ourselves to Him. Jesus came and made us conquerors over sin. It's sin that keeps us oppressed, makes us afraid, and stops us from growing. It keeps us stuck in the same place, repeating the same mistakes, never realizing all that we were created for. We struggle day after day to make something of our lives and end up tired and worried about the future. If we put the same effort, day in and day out, into following Jesus and obeying His commands, we would know the abundant life He promised to give us. If we stopped falling short of what we know we need to do, in Jesus we would be on fire and free of all these things that keep us down.

Today's Prayer:
Lord, give me the fullness of life You're offering. Pick me up so that I can follow You and Your commands. Give me strength not to fall and the wisdom to know that You are all that matters and only You can set me free. In Your Name we pray, amen.
