Your Heart's Desire

"Make the Lord your delight, and He will grant your heart's desire." - Psalm 37:4

There are promises from God that we always need to keep in our minds, constantly repeating them to ourselves so that the Spirit can build us up and give us hope, even when things seem impossible. For me, this is one of those promises and I even keep it on the wallpaper of my phone to have it before me always.

What are the desires of your heart? What are the things you want the most? Sometimes we think too small and limit God to giving us a few small things here and there when in reality, God wants to give us so much. Paul writes in Ephesians that God can give us, and wants to give us, much more than we could ever hope for or imagine. But these are the things we see only after really walking with Him and making Him one of our main concerns each day. When we start to devote time to God, God devotes Himself to us in a way that not only supplies all we need today, tomorrow, or the next day, but you'll see how He starts lining up blessings in the weeks, months, and years to come. That's how powerful, protective, and loving your God is! Make Him your delight and see how big His love is for you.

Today's Prayer:
Father in Heaven, give me the chance to turn my thoughts and heart to You. Give me the wisdom to know that my true happiness only lies in You and the boldness to live this way. In Jesus' Name we pray, amen.
