With All Your Heart

"When you call on me I will listen. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:12-13

Over the years, my relationship with God has had many ups and downs, and each down has been attributed to my moving away from Him. Maybe I started something new and got distracted. I met someone new and gave them more attention. I let things in my life take away time that belonged to Him. He, however, has always been a constant in my life. He never left me. And when I turned back to Him, He always welcomed me with open arms, never asking where I was, but being happy I returned. This verse from Jeremiah is one everyone should have memorized because it so perfectly describes the way God is when we look for Him. He is so good that He can't deny us anything, especially His presence. The moment you tell Him honestly, "Lord, I want to know You more," He opens those doors for you. It's all about the sincerity with which you approach Him. There is absolutely no way He could ever ignore you or turn your back on you, ever. If you ever really want to know the Lord, all it takes is a sincere heart.

Today's Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your immense love and compassion. You open Your arms wide for all of Your children. Please let all those who do not know You feel the call to look for You. In Jesus' Name we pray, amen.
