Where Jesus Is

"He turned and saw them following, and He said to them, 'What are you looking for?' They answered, 'Rabbi (which means Master), where are you staying?' Jesus said, 'Come and see.' So they went and saw where He stayed and spent the rest of that day with Him." - John 1:38-39

What are you looking for? You have to ask yourself that if you're looking for God. Do you just need help with a problem? A prayer answered for a family member? Or maybe you're looking for a new way of life, something deeper? Either way, the road to God is a continual journey which starts with this question and must continue with this question because you'll hit so many bumps in the road that you might forget or lose track of what you're out to find. But the best thing about it is that we're not alone in the journey. As long as we keep on looking, the Lord will keep calling and pulling us along to where He is. When the two disciples asked to follow Jesus to where He was staying, He answered, "Come and see," because the worst thing we can do is give up and stay where we are. We have to keep on moving to be where He is. Once we get comfortable, we become stale and lose focus. In order to continue on the journey, we need to listen to Jesus and keep moving forward. There's always another level to climb, and more blessings ahead if we answer Jesus' call to follow Him. Don't backtrack. Remember what you're looking for and keep on moving to where He is.

Today's Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I want to be where You are. I am looking for a new me, someone worthy of You. Help me to follow You to where You are. In Your name we pray, amen.
