Speak Up!

"They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." - Revelation 12:11

In a vision, the author of the Book of Revelation saw that the devil, our enemy, had been conquered by the blood of Jesus and by the word of our testimony. Isn't that so powerful? I lose sight of this sometimes, but this verse tells me so much about what I can do in the Name of Jesus Christ. Do you know someone who needs to hear about God's love? Do you know someone who needs to change their life and give it up to God? The Bible tells us right here that just by our testimony and the power of Christ, the devil is conquered! This means it is YOUR job to speak to people about YOUR own faith in Jesus. The blood of Christ gives you the power, but your words, your experience, will be the tool God uses to destroy the work of the enemy in someone's life. This is why our faith should never be silenced. This is why as followers of Christ we are called to be bold, so that Christ's death isn't just something that happened 2,000 years ago but that through the power of His blood, in His name, we can speak about how good He is and destroy all evil plans, addictions, insults, and offenses the devil has lined up for us. Our faith in Christ is a powerful weapon in God's hands and we can never allow ourselves to become dull, and we can never allow ourselves to remain silent because our words can mean life to a person in need, and our silence can mean death if you are the one God has chosen to be a light to that person.

In the name of Jesus Christ, speak up today. Speak of your faith. Speak of what God has done for you and conquer the enemy who prowls day and night, waiting to capture us into sin.

Lord Jesus, make me bold today. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can speak faith into people who need to hear about Your power. Use me as Your instrument to proclaim Your Majesty. In Your Name we pray, amen.
