Activate God's Power

"Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle - my loving God, my fortress; my protector and deliverer, my shield where I take refuge, who conquers nations and subjects them to my rule." - Psalm 144:1-2

I believe we don't see the miracles we read of in the bible because very few of us expect amazing things from God. Faith activates the power of God and we don't put our faith into practice. I read this verse and I was blown away by it because don't we all wish we could truly say this confidently? How many times don't we worry about accidents, financial problems, and all other stresses and feel on edge? King David was king of Israel when he wrote this psalm. Entire nations were out for his life yet he had the kind of faith that activated the power of God and he saw the Lord do amazing things for him. Time and time again, David's army fought victoriously while God added to his blessings. Things like these didn't only happen back then, but they can happen today. The Lord can be your rock, your protector, your deliverer, the one who keeps all your enemies away if you implore Him. Change your perspective and don't wonder if God can be like this with you, expect God to be this way with you!

Today's Prayer:
Lord, I thank and praise You because You are my shield and my protection. My trust is in You and even if things seem to crumble around me, I know that in Your hands I am safe. In Jesus' Name we pray, amen.
