Look!

"Look, I stand at the door and knock." - Revelation 3:20

The Book of Revelation is seen as this scary book about the end of the world, about what will happen when the end comes. However, in it, Jesus provided important messages for us today, like this verse above. I think we're always waiting for a sign, always waiting for what's next, envisioning plans for ourselves. Or sometimes we're stuck regretting the past, but how often do we look at right now? This is what Jesus is saying: stop and look. Open your eyes and look at where you are right now. He's actually standing at your door and knocking right now, trying to get your attention through something in your life, but are you looking? Or are you looking off at something else instead of what Jesus is trying to tell you right now? So many of us are spiritually blind because we try to be independent from God, we don't give ourselves over to Him as our consciences are telling us to, or we just don't want to. For those of us who want to let Jesus in right now, be sure to look. He's at the door.

Today's Prayer:
Lord, I don't want to be spiritually blind. Open my eyes to see You today in my life and open the door to You. Open the eyes of those in my life so that they too can see You knocking on their doors. In Your Name we pray, amen.
