Strive More and More Each Day

"Therefore, brothers and sisters, strive more and more to respond to the call of God who chose you. If you do so, you will never stumble." -2nd Peter 1:10

Never think you are doing enough to be worthy of Him. Each new day that arrives comes with more worries, more problems and especially new temptations. If you stick to minimal prayer every day, the devil finds ways to make you slip. You will begin to fall back into your former ways or even fall into deeper sins. As a marathon runner trains harder with each new day, so you should strive harder to be worthy of His kingdom. If you resolve to do this, He will put more desire in you to keep on going forward.

Today's Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me in this race to always work harder to achieve Your kingdom. I'm not in the best shape and get tired along the way, but look at my heart's desire to be where You are and help carry me through. In Your Name we pray, Amen.
